1. During the regular season, free agents will be worth $500,000 a piece.
2. However, you must pay 25% of a 1 year contract, 50% of a two year contract, and 75% of a 3 year contract of the contract of the free agent you are dropping. FOR EXAMPLE: If I sign Jason Heyward to a 3 year contract worth 30$ million, or 10$ million per year, and I drop him, I must pay 75% (or 7.5$ million per year) for the years left on his contract. This rule is in effect to ensure you are careful with who gets 2 or 3 year contracts, because if they don't pan at, you are stuck paying a lot of cash if you decide to drop them.
3. The free agent process will work as follows: Every week you will have the option to add a player via free agency on proboards. You will make a post in the free agent section with the title being "Team Byars adds Kershaw, drops Zack Greinke" then in the post write your complete transaction, example: "Team Byars adds Clayton Kershaw, and drops Zack Greinke, who has a contract of $5 million per year. My cap hit of 25% will be $1,250,000". Yes, you have to put all that (make my life easier). You get to add one free agent a week, and me, Kyle, or Joe will try to add them to your friend asap after you make the transaction on Proboards
3a. Free agents are first come first serve. The first person to post that player gets them.
4. With trades, you really have a lot of freedom. You can trade players for players, players and cash for players and prospects, etc.
